The conference also welcomed delegates from outside the region with attendees from Costa Rica, India, South Africa and Singapore.
Host firm Audit Tax and Consulting Services GmbH (ATC) opened the conference and introduced delegates to Wilhelm von Boddien – a high profile expert on the history of Berlin. The keynote speech was provided by Dr Franz Radermacher who gave a lively, thought-provoking presentation on sustainability.
The breakout sessions proved to be very popular with sessions on practice management and personal impact. The tax group was led by the ever-popular Bernhard Madörin and MI InterAct (MI’s associated law network) held a session which was equally as interesting.
Delegates enjoyed a varied social programme beginning with ATC kindly inviting all attendees to their offices for a pre-conference welcome reception and organising a special tour of the Palace of Tears. Participants enjoyed dinner at the German Parliament with its outstanding views and great food. The conference finished with an evening at the Chamäleon theatre with an unforgettable cabaret performance.
We would like to thank MI’s German member firms who warmly welcomed delegates to Germany and an extra special thank you to ATC who provided excellent support and assistance with the organisation of the event.
Dublin will host the 2014 MIENA conference and further details will be announced shortly.
