The agenda included various external speakers. Peter Johnson (Austrindo Law Office) shared insights on opportunities in Indonesia. Poltak Hotradero (Indonesia Stock Exchange) presented on raising capital on one of Asia’s oldest stock exchanges. MI was also pleased to welcome Ross Smith, a high profile branding expert, who shared his international experience of brand building. Suanning Tanardi led a lively discussion on how to achieve work/life balance - something a lot of delegates were able to relate to!
Other popular sessions included; Greg Hayes (Hayes Knight, Australia) who led a thought provoking session on succession planning; Steven Henning (Marks Paneth & Shron, US) shared his extensive knowledge on the latest guidelines on listing in the US and João Carlos Garcia (M/Legate, Brazil) discussed emerging business opportunities in Latin America.
The day prior to the conference, Dr Barry Epstein - a high-profile forensic accountant, led a very popular session on the developments in IFRS and trends in forensic accounting.
As always, MIAP organised a fun social programme! Day two was a full day tour of Ubud, which included plenty of opportunities to network informally – whilst seeing the sights of this paradise island! The conference finished with the usual fun “Gala Night” extravaganza consisting of singing, dancing, good food and friendship! All which made for a memorable finish to a very successful conference!
MI would like to thank long-standing firm Tjahjadi & Tamara in Indonesia and Paul Wan & Co, for their fantastic efforts in organising a memorable conference! Congratulations also to Enchun, from Paul Wan & Co, who did a great job working on her first MIAP event!
