The conference welcomed a number of high-profile external speakers: Barry O’Leary, (CEO, IDA Ireland) shared insights on business opportunities in Ireland; Ciarán Ó Gaora (Zero-G Brand Design) led a popular session on branding and reputation building; Paul McNeive shared his inspirational story and ideas on how to “make clients feel special”.
Day two focused on interest groups based on service lines and industry sectors. The tax group was led by Bernhard Madörin (Artax), the audit group was led by Richard Powell (MHA MacIntyre Hudson) and the law group was led by MI’s associated law group, MI InterAct. MI was delighted to welcome Sara Walsh, Chief Marketing Officer at Marks Paneth LLP, who facilitated a well-received session on sharing marketing best practices and ways members can work together.
Attendees were treated to a highly entertaining social programme. The group was wined and dined at the beautiful and historic Trinity College which also included a visit to the
impressive Old Library. A trip to Ireland would not be complete without a traditional Irish shindig, which was whatattendees enjoyed at The Old Jameson Distillery. The evening consisted of good food, great Irish music and even better dancing!
MI would like to thank BFCD for its excellent support and assistance with the organisation and running of this conference – this was a truly memorable event!
The next MIENA conference will be combined with MI’s international conference in Copenhagen on 8-10 May 2015. This will coincide with MI’s 25th anniversary!
